Cricket writing on the internet tends to fall into two camps. Either it's wire copy reprinted word for word, or it's hot takes written to get clicks. We started this site because there's a gap in the middle — coverage that assumes you actually watched the game and want something more than a scorecard read back to you.

What we publish

• Match reports written after the game, not during it, so we can talk about what actually decided it.
• Analysis pieces on tactics, selections, pitch conditions and the parts of the game that don't show up in the stats column.
• Player profiles and career pieces covering domestic and international cricket.
• Opinion, clearly labelled as opinion. It's a separate thing from reporting and we try not to blur the two.

Who writes it

CrickPulse is run by a small team of cricket writers and fans. Some of us have covered the game professionally; some of us have just watched far too much of it. Where a piece is written by someone with a connection to a team, player or league they're writing about, we say so in the article.

If you want to write for us, use the form on the contact page and include a couple of samples. We read everything, though we can't always reply quickly.

How we're funded

The site is supported by display advertising and, occasionally, sponsored content. Sponsored pieces are always marked as such at the top. Advertisers have no say in what we publish and never see articles before they go live.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes. When that happens, we fix the article and add a note at the bottom explaining what changed. If you spot an error, email us — corrections are the fastest way to get a reply out of anyone here.
